The Aussie Wood Duck are also called maned goose or maned duck. Since the re-filling of the old swamp Lake Wendouree after years of drought, the wildlife comeback attracts the interest of tourism and photography every day. There are more different ducks now I see than ten years ago I arrived in Ballarat just before the drought unfortunately occurred.
